Seashells on the Seashore

We have just returned from holiday in one of my favourite places - The Gower Peninsular in South wales. I was lucky enough to be brought up here and one of my lasting memories is the amazing beaches. I wouldn't describe myself as a hoarder but, when you see all the beautiful shells scattered across the acres of sand I cannot help but to pick them up and fill my pockets! I made the family make a picture on the sand with their shells this year so we didn't have to keep them. Our children are 14 and 16 so this wasn't top of their "to-do" list! I just can't resit the colours, textures and perfection, sometimes in miniature of these pretty shells. It is so good for the soul to walk on these beaches, we just love it, and I always hope to find some new inspiration for our coastal collection.
