You've heard the famous saying I'm sure, and today is National Lucky Penny Day! Years ago, you could buy quite a lot with a penny - these days I'm not sure it would get you far at all. Years ago, copper was a precious metal so finding a penny was a valuable find - hence why they are considered lucky!
