My grandmother was a big inspiration to me in the creative path that I have taken. She, Nancy, was never without some form of artwork on the go. She did the most beautiful embroideries, including many ecclesiastical projects, pictures, boxes, creatures all included. He house was a pure Aladdin’s cave, “Mr Makers drawers on acid!” If you needed anything for an art project you just had to ask Granny. Whatever she was working on she was always smartly dressed – many a dress and jacket combo and always with an item of jewellery! She would choose a brooch or necklace for every outfit, even though her daily outing was a simple trip down the hill into town.
