Forde Abbey

We are extremely lucky and we know it, more importantly we appreciate it, honest! Our office is based within the stunning grounds of Forde Abbey in Dorset, a Cistercian monastery. The house and its interior are breathtaking and the grounds and gardens do not disappoint. All of us at the office enjoy our daily walks around the grounds or along beside the River Axe that borders the estate. The team of gardeners do the most wonderful job and whilst the grounds are closed in the winter, the amount of work that happens in the gardens is truly monumental. There are often new features being added, be it a new fountain, a swirl of tulips or a mound down which pumkins are rolled at Halloween. Who knew? There is always wildlife to be seen too, ducks and swans on the lakes, Herons stealing fish, pheasants and horses too. Life here is never dull, and even on the greyest of January days there is beauty to be seen in the snowdrops and crocuses just beginning to appear. #FordeAbbey #Dorset #gardens #Halloween #horses #snowdrops #January
